Cured of ADHD

Stephie Dawn no longer has ADHD, thanks to Jesus

Stephie and her four siblings grew up in a close-knit Christian family. Her ADHD surfaced in childhood with early symptoms of hyperactivity and creativity, which were not problematic. Like many other people, she even initially viewed ADHD as a superpower.

However, in her mid-teens, she began to feel overwhelmed in public places, experienced focus issues, and had difficulty regulating her emotions. Through this, she avoided psych meds, as she did not want her musical ability to be blunted.

The ADHD continued to get worse and worse through her teenage years, to the point that, prior to her deliverance at age nineteen, she “couldn’t do anything.” Stephie also dealt with depression and suicidal thoughts. She never gave up on God, though she also didn’t seek Him either when her condition got bad.

Then, she and her family began attending a “a full gospel and a spirit-filled church.” A couple of months in, a guest speaker discussed deliverance and spoke about how “Christians can… have demons or be influenced.”

Stephie’s initially reacted with disbelief, but she was open to attend the altar call to see what would happen. A woman from the ministry team prayed over her, and Stephie began to experience a strange anger. When she said she got angry, she was directed “through some repentance and forgiveness.” Then, she was directed to “renounce ADHD” and to repent of viewing it as a superpower with benefits.

Suddenly, she was lying on the floor, crying and basking in God’s presence. She heard God telling her, “You’re healed.” Though she felt that she had lain on the floor about a couple of minutes, she later discovered it was actually half an hour. When she rose, she realized “things are quiet.” Immediately afterward, a person approached her with a word of knowledge about her depression. Once again, she received deliverance, this time for the depression and also for anger and suicidal thoughts. On the floor again, she found herself laughing and basking in what “felt like a waterfall of just God’s presence, His love and joy flowing in [her].” God told her, “You’re free, my daughter. I love you so much… You won’t have those problems again.”

Though she was still skeptical at first about the ADHD deliverance, in a few days, she finally realized, “I’m actually healed.”

Lex was freed from ADHD through deliverance in Jesus’ name

For as far back as he can recall, Lex struggled with symptoms of ADHD. Though he was a church-goer since childhood, he noticed that his ADHD interfered with his walk with God, making it difficult to worship, pray, read the Bible, and fast. He never took psych meds, only having received Benadryl as a child for the sedating effect.

Of the two types of ADHD (hyperactive and inattentive), Lex was more of an inattentive type. The ADHD caused difficulties for him in other areas of life besides his spiritual life, including relationships with other people, work, school, and driving. Though he was able to perform decently at work and school and never got into accidents, it was a struggle.

Lex’s ADHD worsened with time. At one point, he left his job and decided to draw near to God. He attended church, and he forgave people who had hurt him in order to address a build up of bitterness.

However, he continued to experience difficulty praying, fasting, and worshiping. When he read about the fruits of the spirit that Christians should have, he realized he lacked joy and peace. Relationship problems resulted in loneliness. Moreover, he “realized that [he] couldn’t do things God’s way” and he was not “living up to the standard of God’s Word.”

Lex started researching to find out if ADHD is demonic. He considered trying an ADHD neural training program but was unable to afford it. Noting that Jesus had healed a person with epilepsy, a neurodevelopmental issue, he noted that ADHD, too, also falls under the same category. Lex decided to trust Jesus to heal him and so he sought help from a deliverance ministry.

After a bit of a delay, Lex ended up finding a deliverance minister and received prayer. Minutes into the prayer, he “felt a peace consume [his] whole body.” In his testimony afterward, he noted, “[W]ithin a week, I could do my errands; if I want to focus on doing something, I can focus on doing it… I can read my Bible… I can watch a baseball game on TV and be fine.”

Mother affirmed the Word of God over her son and he was delivered of ADHD

This testimony comes from a woman whose name is not given. Though she descended from a line of pastors, she started suffering from depression and anxiety in her mid-teens and also experienced, at some point, suicidal thoughts.

Jumping forward a number of years, she sought help from a doctor and counselors when her condition worsened. Later that same year, her son entered kindergarten. Not long afterward, she began receiving feedback about him from multiple staff at the school, all to the effect that he had attention problems and was hyperactive. Even the pediatrician guilted her and her husband to give him psych meds, drawing a false analogy that not giving him these was like depriving a diabetic of insulin.

The mother had learned “about speaking life into situations” and “blessings over [her] family, over [her] household.” Thus, she declared that her “son doesn’t have ADHD” and affirmed “that he walks with a sound mind.” An awareness grew within her that God was using the situation with her son to bring her healing, too. She prayed to God to grant both her and her son “divine health” and a “sound mind.”

The results? “He’s doing great now; he’s thriving,” the mother attested at the time of her testimony. Upon switching to another school, the boy was tested and found to have no issues. In fact, they found that his “behavior rated higher than average.” Just as her son was supernaturally cured of ADHD, the mother also, has been cured of anxiety and depression.
