Autism Cured – Read These Three Testimonies!
It’s been a while (months, actually) since I shared testimonies of people finding permanent psychological healing and transformation through Christ, so I thought I would hit Youtube again and look some up for you. So far, I’ve covered bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, some eating disorders, depression, anxiety, smoking and other drug addictions, ADHD, PTSD, transgenderism, homosexuality, and OCD. (I don’t think you can find such a archive of success stories for the mental health industry – in fact, I know you can not.) Regarding what topic I will be covering next… since there is an epidemic of autism among children today, and I’m sure a lot of people would like to see autism cured, I will be sharing some encouraging stories of just that! Here are the testimonies of three children who were cured of autism through Christ.
Ethan was cured of autism after his parents sought God for help!
From birth, Ethan displayed signs that something was off. He had nocturnal screaming fits that kept his parents, Brian and Gina, up at night trying to get him to sleep. Ethan was unresponsive to Gina’s attempts to get his attention, and he cried and bit himself instead of talking about whatever difficulties he was experiencing.
When they took Ethan to a specialist, his verdict was: “I’m sorry to tell you that it looks like your son might have autism.” Another doctor noted that the boy was likely going to be perpetually non-verbal.
Raising an autistic son was stressful, and Brian and Gina clashed on how to handle him. A breakthrough in the situation presented when, at night, Gina “had a vision of a dark presence in her son’s room.” It was then that both parents realized that “this fight [was] as much a spiritual battle as it [was] a physical battle.”
Brian wasted no time marching into battle, armed with prayer and verses from Scripture. Gina joined in as well, and then another person enlisted in their prayer battle – Janelle, an autism professional they had hired, who happened to be Christian.
Janelle observed that Ethan presented as a case “that would progress very slowly.” But spiritual warfare changed that prognosis. Changes began appearing, as Ethan started responding to his parents and then spoke for the first time, saying “go.” Ethan then learned how to say a short prayer with the help of his older brother, Devon. Eventually, Ethan and his mom had their “first conversation.” At the time of her testimony, Gina recounts, “He told me what his favorite color was, and he told me that he loved me – all the things that I had just dreamed of hearing, God was – God was releasing and it was coming out of his mouth.”
At age five, Ethan was able to go to regular kindergarten. Four years later, Ethan “tests in the 99th percentile statewide” and “recently won the California Young Scholar’s Award.” Ethan joined in the interview, noting that he likes to socialize with family and friends and wrestle for fun.
Atara sang of Jesus’ love after He freed her from autism!
Atara was diagnosed with autism at age four, and this took place following a year of unsuccessful potty training. She could not focus, did not talk, feared people, was sensitive to noise, did not understand what others said, and failed to follow directives.
When her mother Alison viewed a video showing an autistic boy receiving healing, she desired the same thing for Atara. And so, she took her daughter to church to receive prayer, but did not get an opportunity to have this done right away. At a later attempt to get prayer, a woman on the ministry team came and prayed over Atara, ultimately declaring, “You will not recognize her. She will be as God designed her to be in Jesus’ name.”
The day after, previously nonverbal Atara sang to her mother! The song she chose was (appropriately) “Jesus loves me.” Moreover, she began to use the bathroom alone within days of having received prayer. Later, her confused speech therapist noted that she was “speaking in full sentences.” Alison testified Atara had been cured of her autism by Jesus.
During an interview with the pastor of the church, Alison said, “Her ability to socialize has gone up, she introduces herself to people wherever she goes, she talks, she writes, she reads, she does everything.”
Deliverance in Jesus’ name set Amanda’s son free from autism at age thirteen
At age two, Amanda’s son received the diagnosis of high-functioning autism. His symptoms had been impaired speech (including stuttering), difficulty communicating, and learning disability. He also displayed frustration-fueled “meltdowns” that consisted of “screaming and crying and throwing himself on the floor.” These happened at least twice a week and were usually triggered by academic pressure. His parents had to put up with it for eleven more years.
Then, Amanda found a deliverance ministry three and a half hours away from her home. She made the trip with her son to get deliverance. Immediately afterward, she noticed her son was uncharacteristically “chatty” during the drive back home and unusually confident about talking a test the next day.
The changes that were brought about by deliverance were indeed quick to manifest. From the time it was done, the boy’s meltdowns ceased, his comprehension ability went up, and the stuttering decreased “almost a hundred percent.” During an interview with the pastor of the deliverance ministry, Amanda testified, “And from then on, academically, his teachers are astounded, too. He’s not had any setbacks this year.”
